Respite Caregiver Opportunity

Join ComForCare Home Health Care in San Diego as a Respite Caregiver, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with autism and disabilities. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to those in need.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support for individuals with autism and disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and hygiene.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to enhance quality of life.
• Monitor and document client progress and any changes in behavior.
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Provide respite for primary caregivers, allowing them time to recharge.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to improve caregiving skills.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields preferred.
• Understanding of autism and disabilities, with a compassionate approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and training.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
