Job Description

The Assistant Director of Facilities is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, prepared, and welcoming environments that support ministry throughout the week. Working closely with the Facilities Director, this role provides hands-on leadership for day-to-day Facilities operations, coordinates priorities and coverage, supports staff and ministry teams, oversees housekeeping operations, and ensures facility needs are addressed with consistency, accountability, and follow-through. A key responsibility is serving as the primary Facilities leader for Saturday Night Services.

Examples of Projects & Tasks

• Partner with the Facilities Director on day-to-day maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, work orders, building checks, and established procedures, while providing hands-on operational support as needed.
• Coordinate and participate in event setups, resets, and Facilities coverage Tuesday through Saturday; work with staff, volunteers, and Facilities team members to ensure spaces are prepared, functional, clean, and welcoming.
• Serve under the direction of the Saturday Night Service Campus Pastor as the primary Facilities leader for Saturday Night Services; anticipate needs, coordinate volunteers and facility readiness, solve issues, and ensure cleanup and reset are completed.
• Recruit, schedule, train, communicate with, and support Facilities volunteers; provide clear direction and accountability, build positive relationships, and help develop volunteers through Lifepointe's leadership pathway.
• Directly supervise and support the Housekeeping Coordinator; coordinate housekeeping schedules, assignments, coverage, priorities, quality, and follow-through to keep facilities consistently clean and ministry-ready.
• Perform hands-on housekeeping work requiring a lift or ladder, equipment-assisted cleaning, and other heavier or more physically demanding cleaning tasks.
• Manage janitorial and housekeeping supply purchasing and inventory.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination for facility needs when the Facilities Director is unavailable.

EXPERIENCE

• Required: 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities, operations, maintenance, event operations, property management, or a similar hands-on operational environment.
• Required: Demonstrated experience leading people, volunteers, projects, or operational work.
• Required: Proficiency with Google Workspace or equivalent productivity suites, along with the ability to learn and effectively use facilities management and scheduling systems.
