Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Unrestricted Louisiana medical license, or eligibility, and valid DEA registration
• Current NRP and CPR certifications encouraged
Position Details
• Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join the practice.
• Full-time, permanent position with a well-established, physician-led private practice
• Three office locations in Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff; physicians may rotate or be based primarily at one site
• 4.5-day workweek; clinic hours generally Monday through Friday with shared, rotating weekend clinic coverage
• Call shared equally among the providers
• Inpatient responsibilities limited to well-baby newborn rounding; no NICU coverage and no delivery attendance
• Large team of pediatricians and advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs)
• In-house laboratory, X-ray, and pharmacy services
• Open to experienced pediatricians and graduating residents
• Provide comprehensive pediatric care from newborns through adolescence
• Conduct well-child exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries
• Manage inpatient newborn nursery rounding on a rotating basis
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Collaborate with the multi-provider team and local specialists for continuity of care
