What You'll Do

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments for inmates/residents
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team to coordinate care
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
• Make rounds in confined areas to assess inmate mental health and adjustment
• Provide evidence-based counseling and crisis interventions
• Consult with medical, psychiatric, nursing, and security staff to address and manage behavioral health concerns
• Deliver timely mental health evaluations and confrontational interventions as needed

What You Need

• Valid license or certification eligible for Board privileges
• Minimum of 1+ year experience in mental health or correctional settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of psychological assessment and counseling techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

This role involves providing essential mental health services within a correctional facility setting, ensuring inmates receive the assessment and treatment needed for mental well-being. The psychologist will work closely with the health care team to deliver compassionate, effective care in a dynamic environment.
