REPORTS TO : Steward Supervisor and Sous Chef

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stewards are an essential part of every kitchen as they maintain the kitchen cleanliness and ensure that the buffet is stocked with clean plates, cups, coffee mugs, silverware, pots, pans, utensils and any other items needed to provide our guests with the best dining experience possible.

1. Although crewmembers are assigned specific stations, every crewmember is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen.
2. The dish pit is responsible for washing all plates, cups, coffee mugs, silverware, crab buckets and utensils.
3. Responsible for sweeping and mopping the floors (throughout and at the end of their shift.
4. Maintain all handwashing stations with proper hand towels and soaps.
5. Responsible for washing all pots, pans and anything too large to fit through the dishwasher, changing sanitation buckets every 2 hours.
6. Keep up with all trash and boxes throughout shift.
7. Safe operation of fryer oil collection.
8. Tasks include, but are not limited to, deep cleaning equipment, coolers and freezers, washing ceiling tiles, dusting FOH TVs, scrubbing walls or any other special project that needs to be completed.
9. Break down dish machine and clean throughout your shift as needed.
10. Complete any additional duties designated by Manager, Supervisor, or Chef on duty.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED. Able to operate various office equipment. Lift up to 40 pounds in weight.

Must be able to bend, lift, stand for long periods of time and maneuver in normal capacity.
