Senior Managing Director, Treaty Broking

What The Day Will Look Like Leads regular client calls and meetings to discuss portfolio performance, treaty renewals, new products, financials, and ad-hoc requests. Leads renewal strategy – reviewing actuarial and catastrophe modeling outputs, deciding what reinsurance structures might make sense, and which reinsurers to approach. Works closely with and mentors supporting brokers as they prepare client deliverables. Actively participates in the negotiations with reinsurers, deciding which reinsurers to approach and with what messaging. Coordinating Q&A from both reinsurers and clients. Works closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of new business and building relationships with clients and prospects that align with business targets, with the understanding that volume of prospecting activity is essential Maintains a thorough understanding and knowledge of all available Aon resources and solutions available, and matching those to client business requirements Achieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service Fosters and promotes a team approach to both internal and external business relationship Ability to effectively and independently conduct relevant business discussions at the most senior level (CEO/CFO) Adheres to Aon processes and procedures and all quality service requirements to deliver exceptional client value Recognized as a company leader; committed to continuous improvement and client revenue generation and value creation Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success Minimum of 15 years of related experience. Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior level Strong market presence within the broking industry Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients Entrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for profitability and client satisfaction Excellent organization and time management skills; able to multi-task and manage projects and direct reports Ability to drive team(s) to deliver the highest in client service, quality and results Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisions Ability to work independently as a self-starter; committed to delivering the highest in client service, quality and results Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions Ability to embrace and drive change in support of the business unit’s and company’s goals Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applications Professional demeanor with positive attitude How We Support Our Colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce. Pay Transparency Laws The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $245,000 to $360,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
