Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 Hour Night Shifts (19:30 - 08:00), every other weekend required.

The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality, compassionate care for patients in a fast-paced environment, managing various acute conditions including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac arrests. The ED RN will be responsible for overseeing patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards, ensuring the safety and comfort of all patients during their visit.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform advanced procedures including intubation, IV access, and blood product administration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Manage and support behavioral health patients, including holding psychiatric assessments.
• Participate in trauma care procedures and provide immediate responses in emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact License required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience is required.
• Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience may be considered.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
