Marketing Manager - Retail/Direct

The Marketing Manager - Retail/Direct is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy across retail, direct, and local marketing channels, in collaboration with merchandising, marketing, creative, and store teams. This role bridges brand strategy with in-market execution, ensuring campaigns and promotions drive traffic, sales, and customer engagement at the store and local market level while aligning with overall business and marketing objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for overseeing and executing critical business and merchandising and marketing priorities. Oversee the end-to-end process of category merchandising product launches and briefs, ensuring that the necessary marketing support and attention are provided. Oversee the development and collection of monthly promotions that align with strategic priorities. Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to identify key products and promotions to feature, considering factors such as seasonality, consumer demand, and market trends. Ensure that these promotions are effectively communicated and integrated into marketing campaigns, while handling ad hoc requests to accommodate quick changes to the marketing plan. Navigate and lead the merchandising team through change, providing guidance and support during times of transition. Adapt quickly to new market trends, consumer demands, and industry dynamics to ensure successful and agile responses.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and within the established timelines. This includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, production, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to key stakeholders, identifying and troubleshooting any potential issues or roadblocks that may arise. Conduct post-launch analysis and evaluations to assess the success of product launches and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
• Active participant in business led meetings and strategy sessions
• Responds to ad-hoc requests for information/analyses from Manager/ Director

Education and Experience:

• Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail
• or equivalent experience
• Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years progressive analytical and project management experience in merchandising/marketing
• Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Intermediate PC software skills using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Develop structured summaries, synopses, or executive briefings that provide a comprehensive yet succinct understanding of the content for various stakeholders.
  • Consolidate and present essential information in a clear and engaging manner, ensuring accuracy and coherence.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the summaries align with their requirements and objective

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to efficiently process and distill complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey key points concisely and effectively.

  • Proficiency in information research, data analysis, and summarization techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and software for content organization and summarization is preferred.
