Controller Integration Lead (Finance & Accounting)

Job Type: Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $45-57/hr

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting leader to support the integration, standardization, and optimization of financial operations across multiple recently acquired entities within a growing IT services organization.

This role will focus on aligning policies, processes, and systems to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability in a multi-entity environment. You will partner closely with accounting, finance, IT, and business leaders to implement best practices and ensure seamless post-acquisition integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting integration efforts across recently acquired entities (200–600 employees)
• Evaluate and standardize accounting policies, financial processes, and operational workflows
• Oversee controllership functions , including general ledger integrity and financial reporting
• Partner with business units and IT to improve financial data flow, systems connectivity, and reporting capabilities
• Drive improvements in payroll processing and people-related financial operations
• Support system transitions , including migration from QuickBooks to Workday (or similar ERP platforms)
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Integration teams to ensure alignment across entities
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency across finance operations
• Serve as a key advisor to leadership on post-acquisition financial integration strategy and execution

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles
• Strong background in financial operations and general ledger (GL) management
• Experience supporting or leading post-acquisition finance integration
• Proven ability to drive operational excellence and process improvement initiatives
• Experience working across multiple financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Workday, or similar ERP platforms )
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Finance, IT, and Business Units

Environment & Scope

• Multi-entity environment with recently acquired businesses, including:
• ~200-employee organization with QuickBooks and operational finance support needs
• ~500–600 employee organization with a more mature finance team and evolving systems landscape
• Highly collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting enterprise-level IT services operations
• Exposure to large-scale system integrations and transformation initiatives
