X 5 Days Hiring Manager: Dilip R Tadisina Position Concept A Systems Analyst develops applications; implements software packages, integrates applications, and provides 24x7 application support. Collaborates on all phases of the software development life‑cycle (SDLC) with a focus on the application design, development, and implementation phases. Utilizes appropriate development tools and technologies in keeping with the IT architecture. Advancement in Progression Advancement to a higher level is based on value added to the Company through increased duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments. Advancement is not automatic, i.e. based solely on time in the job, but will be based on direct observation of the employee’s performance, accomplishments, qualifications, and the business and/or technical needs of the department. Working Conditions Most work performed in an office environment, but occasional travel to operating locations is required. Level 1 – Associate Systems Analyst The Associate Systems Analyst develops software of limited complexity. Provides primary support for one or more applications. Participates on Application Development and Support teams. Works under direct supervision. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Develop software of limited complexity based on specifications provided. Implement software packages requiring limited configuration and integration with minimal vendor contact. Integrate applications where the interface complexity is limited and based on specifications provided. Provide 24x7 primary support for one or more applications typically classified as ‘niche’ or ‘core’, but not ‘mission‑critical’; may provide secondary support for mission‑critical applications. Support the request and analysis phases of SDLC by assisting with documentation and estimates. Execute the design, development, and implementation phases of SDLC by producing the prescribed deliverables under the guidance of more senior staff. Participate on an Application Development and Support team as well as project teams under the direction of their manager, senior team members, or project managers. Acquire and maintain knowledge of business areas relevant to projects and application support assignments. Acquire and maintain appropriate technical skills. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, additional years of related experience may be considered. Licenses/Certifications: Preferred: Certifications in specific job‑related disciplines. Related Experience: Minimum one year of experience in systems analysis, design, and development. Required skills: Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies; stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies. Good verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Understands project plans and can clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Participates on Application Development and Support team. May serve as Technical Lead on small projects. Works under moderate supervision and may oversee contract resources and/or junior staff. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Develop software of moderate complexity based on specifications provided. Implement software packages requiring moderate configuration and integration; interaction with vendor resources remotely or onsite may be required. Integrate applications with moderately complex interfaces based on specifications provided.
