Join us and start your extraordinary journey today. Position Summary The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. Duties include signing leases, acting as a landlord representative for property owners, handling applications and rent collection, maintaining occupancy for public housing developments, and overseeing re‑certification of assisted housing tenants. Responsibilities Ensure model and target apartments are ready for show and maintain clean, orderly work and common areas. Complete lease agreements and collect rental deposits. Market the property effectively by answering questions, conducting tours, and promoting community amenities. Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, and community policies. Execute resident move‑outs according to the Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy and SOPs. Monitor competitive properties and stay informed on market conditions. Develop and maintain a resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager. Maintain resident and property files. Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Education and Experience At least 1 year of tax credit experience. Experience in property leasing, sales, or customer service. Knowledge of HUD rules, regulations, and low‑income housing program policies. Excellent follow‑up skills via email and phone. One‑site experience a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Physical Requirements May require sitting for extended periods while working at a desk. May require climbing stairs. Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data. Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person, over the phone, or via computer. May occasionally need to lift or carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to use mobile devices and applications for work‑related tasks. Work Environment Role is site‑based, primarily in an office setting but may require occasional outdoor exposure. Open office setting may include bright lights, constant noise, and distractions.
