Famous Pit MasterDo you want to be part of an authentic, award-winning and legendary BBQ team? Do you want to develop the skills of a famous pit master? We are looking for team players who have the desire to learn about our in-house smoked, made from scratch recipes and wants to serve up famous food! You'll also make sure that food safety standards are followed. Famous Dave's expects you to be punctual, to support your fellow team members when we are smokin' busy, and complete side duties that include but may not be limited to preparing food, monitor ticket times, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.Essential duties and responsibilities:Prepares all menu items according to Famous Dave's recipes, plate presentations and specificationsOperate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, smokers, ovens, stoves, and dishwashersMaintain product presentations, product quality and cook time standardsPractice sanitary and safe food handling at all timesClean as you goCompletes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projectsQualifications and skills:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of agePrevious prep cook or cooking experience preferredCapable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipmentReading, writing and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with other kitchen staffPhysical demands:Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelvesMobility required during the entire shiftMust be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in lengthMust be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbsConsistently handle product preparationWe are an equal opportunity employer
