How You'll Make an Impact

• Coordinate U.S. customs operations for imports and exports.
• Ensure trade compliance by verifying HTS/HS codes and documentation.
• Collaborate with international contracts and internal teams.
• Prepare customs instructions in SAP (GTS module).
• Monitor and report on customs performance (KPIs).
• Support cost-saving initiatives in customs processes.
• Prioritize and plan customs activities across multiple sites.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in customs and transportation.
• Advanced knowledge of customs law, HTS codes, Incoterms, and procedures.
• Experience with logistics suppliers and customs brokers.
• Strong independent work ethic and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Must be able to work onsite at our Mt. Pleasant, PA location.

Preferred:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with SAP S4 Hana (GTS & TM modules).
• Background in customs brokerage.
• Knowledge of local transport markets and regulations.
