Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - IV Start - Telemetry - PCU/IMC experience - Knowledge of special procedures including ostomies, chest tubes, and central lines Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry. The role involves caring for pre/post-operative surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients who require progressive care and monitoring. You will also manage vascular patients, amputations, and detox patients. The patient ratios are aimed at maintaining a 4:1 ratio, with the possibility of stretching to 5:1 under certain circumstances. You will be responsible for administering various drips including Heparin, Amnio, and Cardizem. Key skills required include IV starts, telemetry care, and management of various procedures. You will work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Every other weekend coverage is required, and the clinician may be floated within their scope based on facility needs. Candidates must have a permanent address located 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position. All required certifications must be current and submitted with the application. The nursing care provided is focused on adults, with an average daily census of 28 patients. You will utilize a computerized charting system for documentation. Candidates must be prepared to deliver compassionate care while managing a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.
