Ultrasound Technologist

Description Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB‑GYN, abdominal and small parts. Additionally assists the radiologist during invasive procedures and makes clinical judgments of patient condition based on physician referrals, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments. Required Qualifications Coursework/training and successful completion of an ultrasound training program; education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasound (ARDMS) examination. Within 1 year of hire: National certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Upon hire: National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association. 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern.
