IP Network Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an associate degree in a technical discipline and at least 5 years of relevant IP network experience.
• A bachelors degree in IT, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of service-provider IP network experience is preferred.
• We require a valid associate-level Cisco or Juniper certification.
• We look for experience installing, securing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
• We need hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, XR, XE, or NX-OS, or Juniper JUNOS platforms.
• We expect familiarity with Cisco or Juniper hardware.
• We require strong knowledge of networking fundamentals such as ACLs, NAT, QoS, VRF, SNMP, and route maps.
• We need working knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, STP, LLDP, and 802.1x.

• We collaborate on projects and initiatives assigned by our Director of IP Network Operations and Video Services.
• We monitor, troubleshoot, and support production network environments.
• We plan and carry out network maintenance to keep performance at an optimal level.
• We maintain accurate documentation for network topologies, configurations, and procedures.
• We perform physical data center work such as racking, cabling, hardware diagnostics, and equipment replacement.
• We resolve outages and incidents promptly in line with SLA commitments.
• We support internal teams, including Marketing, Product, and Customer Service, with network-related questions and help assess and deploy emerging technologies.
• We use network monitoring and administration tools to maintain system health.
• We help uphold network standards, policies, and security controls.
• We protect our network infrastructure from unauthorized access, including DDoS threats.
• We complete routine maintenance and administrative tasks on IP network equipment.
• We stay current on our systems, equipment, and industry standards.
