Job Title

SMH Level 3 RN – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Day/Evening/Night Shifts | Includes Holidays, Weekends, On-Call, and Call-Back as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adult post-operative patients in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
• Monitor and assess patient status following surgical procedures, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Maintain direct and effective communication with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing staff
• Work independently while managing a wide variety of post-operative patient presentations

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – NY license required
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
• PACU experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced nursing environment
