We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical assignment at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. The RN will provide comprehensive bedside care to adult and geriatric patients on a 32-bed Med-Surg unit. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient monitoring, wound care, IV therapy, admissions/discharges, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidate must be comfortable with night shifts, floating as needed, and working in a fast-paced hospital environment.    

Requirements

Mandatory Skills/Experience:
Must have minimum 1+ year RN experience
First-time travelers accepted with 24 months nursing experience
Must have Med-Surg experience
Must have active RN License (NM or Compact)
Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be active prior to start)
Must have BLS certification
CPI preferred
Must have experience with IV starts, phlebotomy, central lines, wound care, oxygen therapy, and patient assessments
Experience with Epic charting preferred Important Notes:
No local candidates within 50 miles of facility
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within 6-week period
Float required to like units within scope
36 or 48-hour contracts available
48 hours paid at straight time allowed
All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
Maximum 4 days RTO can be auto-approved
Modules completed onsite during orientation (non-billable)
Traveler expected to complete labs within 48 business hours after signing contract What we offer:
