Tool Crib Attendant

Job SummaryThe Tool Crib Attendant will order, string, issue, sharpen, and maintain all tools for the Facilities Division. The incumbent will maintain logs, tool inventory, and maintenance and repair documentation.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of routine maintenance and repair work on tools assigned to the division, which includes power tools, hand tools, and building equipment.Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.Respond to a variety of equipment request and repair orders.Record check in and out of tools and equipment, maintains logs on tools usage and preventive maintenance.Assist with coordinating and tracking tools, equipment, supplies related to work orders, relay changes in equipment request, and provide related support.Maintain and track appropriate inventory levels writing assigned area of responsibilities; assist with tracking requisitions and usage of supplies.Perform semi-skilled work on general building construction and maintenance such as carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, demolition, and routine electrical work.Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Assigned department operations and functions;Recordkeeping principles;Wood collecting;Ground keeping principles and techniques;Inventory maintenance principles;Repair and maintenance principles and practices;Variety of tools used in building, ground, and street maintenance, including the proper usage, safety procedures, and suggested maintenance routines;Applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations as they relate to equipment and building safety;Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.Skills and Abilities:Operate a variety of maintenance and repair related equipment;Apply maintenance and operation principles; including the ability to order, store, issue, sharpen and maintain facility tools and equipment;Follow oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures;Prioritize work and performing multiple tasks;Work independently;Operate computer based tracking and inventory software program;Maintain a clean work area;Operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer and related software applications;Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public. Have ability to sufficiently exchange or convey information, receive verbal and written work instructions.Education, Certifications and Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma or GED and two (2) general maintenance years of experience; and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Special Requirements:Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License;This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends;Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card, Tribal Gaming License, and Homeland Security Background Check or be able to obtain one within ninety (90) days of hire.
