Our development history includes the successful entitlement, construction, marketing and sales of single‑family homes, townhomes, mid‑rise condominiums and apartments. Currently we are bringing to market two master‑planned, destination‑oriented communities offering a combined 5,000+ homes (both for sale and rental) over a 10‑year time horizon. In addition, the company is also working on several individual apartment developments (1,000+ units). Position Senior Development Analyst – San Diego, CA Reports to Senior Director of Development In this highly visible role, the Senior Development Analyst is responsible for managing cash flow projections and business plans, forecasting revenues and expenses, and conducting financial and operational analyses for active development and entitlement projects. The position also contributes to development project budgeting, acquisition underwriting, and due diligence efforts in support of new investment opportunities, working closely with the Senior Director of Development, CFO and CEO. For more information or to submit a resume email View email address on click.appcast.io Specific responsibilities include: Project & Portfolio Finance Build, maintain, and audit business plans and cash flow forecasts for our active development and entitlement projects while using data to inform business decisions. Own budgeting process and prepare monthly variance analysis reports. Dig into marketing analyses – competitive properties, submarket trends, broader market conditions – and translate research and industry trends into insight and action. Prepare entitlement presentations and supporting materials for partners and investors. Acquisitions Support the underwriting of prospective acquisition opportunities and due diligence efforts that contribute to the growth of the ColRich development pipeline. Reporting Prepare quarterly investor reports. Prepare and present monthly reports for internal leadership. Continuous Improvement Help build and sharpen the financial models, templates, and analytical tools our team relies on. Take on cross‑departmental and operational analyses on an ad‑hoc basis. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field. 3-6 years of experience in real estate development or investment (multifamily a strong plus), or a related analytical discipline. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills – you can build and pressure‑test a model with limited supervision. A track record of turning dense financial data into clear, actionable information. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to shape analysis into investor‑caliber materials. Sharp organizational instincts and real attention to detail. A collaborative, ownership‑minded approach with a strong commitment to follow‑through and proactive communication. Benefits Base salary and discretionary annual bonus competitive with industry standards. $115,000 to $130,000 DOE. Health and dental insurance paid fully at the employee level by employer.
