Project Summary


The Information Technology Team is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst with experience documenting existing workflows and Business/Functional requirements related to Case Management and/or Healthcare applications.


The organization supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to enhance opportunities to become fully engaged members of their community.



Position Summary


The Business Analyst will be integral to large application initiatives supporting investigations, quality management, operations, legal business units, and related business processes, including integrated systems.


Under the direction of a Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA), the Business Analyst will participate in modernization efforts involving applications that support operational oversight, compliance monitoring, and provider qualification processes.


Responsibilities

• Participate in design sessions for prototyping new systems or major enhancements to improve business processes, operations, and information flow.
• Design new computer processes by:
• Preparing gap analyses
• Analyzing requirements
• Constructing workflow charts and diagrams
• Studying system capabilities
• Writing specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document Business and Functional Requirements.
• Act as a liaison between business/community users and IT teams to:
• Gather requirements
• Elicit requirements
• Document requirements
• Create use cases/user stories
• Produce technical documentation
• Identify risks, potential scope creep, and escalate issues to the project team.
• Participate in preparation and execution of testing plans and test criteria.
• Ensure testing validates:
• Quality
• Reliability
• Completeness of business services being deployed
• Perform:
• Integration Testing
• Regression Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
• Prepare or oversee:
• Implementation plans
• User training guides
• Documentation
• Prepare documentation and assist with vendor evaluations of potential platforms to meet documented requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in IT environments, Business Analysis, or related fields.
• Three (3) years of direct Business Analysis experience on large IT system development projects.
• Practical experience conducting requirements gathering with business teams.
• Ability to adjust to changing situations, emergencies, and evolving program requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environments.
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, execute, and manage work in a matrixed, high-pressure environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Understanding of Agile methodology.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Azure DevOps experience is a plus.
• Azure Active Directory integration experience is a plus.
• Understanding of relational databases and data models is a plus.
• Prior Government, Human Services, or Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
