** Position: ** Purchasing Assistant
** Pay Rate: ** $23.00/hour
** Location: ** Lodi, CA

** Schedule: ** Monday- Friday | 7:00AM - 4:00PM

** Position Summary **

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing and inventory operations. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring parts are ordered accurately to support production. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

** Duties and Responsibilities **

• Enter and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts and materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, inventory files, and related documentation.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and order details to ensure purchasing accuracy.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, order status, deliveries, and product availability.
• Work closely with shop managers to identify parts and material requirements.
• Visit the shop floor as needed to discuss inventory needs, priorities, and production requirements.
• Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation.
• Support daily purchasing activities and administrative functions.
• Perform additional purchasing and office duties as assigned.

** Qualifications **

• Previous purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish between similar part numbers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with vendors, shop personnel, and internal departments.
• Proficient with computer systems, Microsoft Office, and data entry.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting operations.
