CDR General Services is seeking an experienced Ship Welder Class A to join our client's team in Paducah, KY . We are looking for a skilled and dependable individual with experience in barge repair, shipyard welding, and marine fabrication. Location: Paducah, KY
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Class A welding on barges and marine equipment.
• Weld structural components and steel materials according to specifications.
• Perform welding repairs and fabrication in a shipyard/dry dock environment.
• Operate welding equipment, torches, power tools, and hand tools safely.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and proper penetration.
• Read and interpret measurements, layouts, and welding requirements.
• Perform welding tasks in various positions and work environments.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete assigned welding and repair projects efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous barge repair, shipyard, or marine welding experience required.
• Class A welding experience required.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
• Experience using power and hand tools.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
