About the Position

The candidate must be competent to jump in immediately. No first-time travelers will be considered. Shifts will be from 06:00 to 18:30 on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday rotation. Overnight call rotation is required. The average daily census is 5-6 patients per room. The staffing ratio is 1:6. Preferred experience includes work with infants and pediatrics. Call is required. Floating within the unit is required. Every other weekend coverage is necessary. The candidate will work alongside attending physicians, fellows, and residents. The unit accommodates patients of all age groups including infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The candidate must have previously held a charge nurse position for 2 years. The candidate should possess experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and demonstrate the ability to perform advanced procedures such as carotid angiography and neurologic thrombolysis. Experience in ICU, Emergency Department, or Telemetry Step-Down is preferred. No call-ins will be accepted. The candidate must be prepared for challenging situations and emergencies. Responsibilities will include being part of an emergency team if necessary. Professional references will be required for clearance before starting. The candidate must be available to adhere to schedule requirements. Please ensure that all required certifications are current and up to date.
