Therapy Tech

Position Summary As a Therapy Tech, you’ll play a hands‑on role supporting physical and hand therapists as they care for orthopedic patients. You’ll help set up exercises and equipment, guide patients through therapist‑assigned activities (under direct supervision), and keep treatment areas clean and safe. This role offers tuition reimbursement up to $30,000 for PT/OT school. Responsibilities Assist therapists in activities related to the treatment of individual patients Perform and respond to therapists in accordance with the rules and regulations of the American Physical/Occupational Therapy Associations Assist patients in performing the appropriate exercises assigned by and under direct supervision of the therapist Assist other clinical staff in the performance of their duties as permitted and under the direct supervision of the therapist Prepare, clean, and maintain exercise equipment Clean and sanitize shared surfaces and patient care areas Follow policies and procedures pertaining to the care of equipment and supplies, reporting any irregularities to the therapist or clinical manager Assist in clerical duties, including answering phones, filing, and stocking necessary items Perform laundry duties and restock linen supplies Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication Demonstrated customer service abilities Demonstrated patient care focus Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements Sitting: frequently Standing: frequently Walking: frequently Climbing: none Bending/stooping: frequently Kneeling/crouching: frequently Reaching overhead: frequently Using full range of motion: frequently Lifting light up to 20 lbs: frequently Lifting medium 21‑50 lbs: frequently Lifting heavy 51 lbs+: rarely Carrying objects continuously: continuously Pushing/pulling continuously: continuously Fine motor skills/dexterity: continuously Visual acuity: continuously Hearing ability: continuously Speaking clearly: continuously Working in confined spaces: frequently Exposure to outdoor elements: none Exposure to noise: continuously Exposure to infectious materials/radiation: rarely Use of personal protective equipment: as needed Operating office equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse, copier, printer, fax, phone, headset): continuously Operating vehicles, large equipment or machinery: none Setup and work in an ergonomic, distraction‑free home office: none Compensation Salary range: $16.37 – $24.55 per hour.
