Advanced Practice Provider I

Role Overview: Responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare in designated primary or specialty areas, including patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. Acts as a resource and role model for clinical practice, training, and management of practitioners and students to ensure high-quality patient care. Assists leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing advanced practice provider activities. Qualifications & Skills Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with relevant accredited education and current licensure in Texas. Certification as a Physician Assistant, Family or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Clinical Nurse Specialist with active credentials from recognized organizations. Current BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network. Strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills. Knowledge of Texas healthcare laws, policies, and patient-centered care principles. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical duties: history-taking, physical exams, assessments, and diagnostics. Accurately document health information and manage patient care plans. Consult with supervising physicians and make appropriate referrals. Educate patients and families to promote self-management and adherence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and positive outcomes. Stay current with advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional development. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and certifications. Participate in quality improvement, departmental goals, and staff meetings.
