Position Summary The Slot Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Slot department, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team performance. This leadership role plans, organizes, and directs slot operations while developing service standards, maximizing productivity, and supporting profitability goals. The Slot Shift Manager cultivates a positive team culture focused on accountability, guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Practice, support, and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming Assist in developing and implementing customer service strategies for Slot Operations Process jackpots and manual hand-pays in accordance with internal controls and standard operating procedures Serve as a signatory on hand-paid jackpots as authorized by internal controls Monitor business levels and develop schedules that support operational and guest service standards Document and report all cash operation transactions in accordance with federal currency reporting and compliance standards Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional, courteous, and timely manner Take ownership of guest and team member issues and follow through to resolution Explain game combinations, payouts, and slot procedures accurately and confidently Maintain security and accountability for assigned keys, radios, handheld devices, and company equipment Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices that do not align with company safety standards Foster a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Ensure adherence to attendance expectations, gaming regulations, departmental standards, and company policies Attend all required meetings and training sessions Manage departmental projects and operational assignments within established timelines Read, understand, and follow the WarHorse Responsible Gambling Plan Ensure compliance with regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated persons Support training, mentoring, and development of team members Maintain flexibility in scheduling based on operational demands Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Required: Must be 21 years of age or older High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience Three (3) years of leadership experience within a guest service or customer service-focused environment, preferably in a high-volume casino or hospitality setting Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and guest loyalty Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Technical understanding of slot machines and associated gaming components Experience training, mentoring, and developing team members Ability to use mobile devices and touchscreen technology effectively Knowledge of player tracking systems and gaming industry operational standards Core Competencies: Forecasting and Cost Analysis Building and Developing Successful Teams Strategy and Problem Solving Consultative Communication Emotional Intelligence Relationship Building Goal Achievement Work Environment & Physical Requirements Exposure to secondhand smoke and standard casino environment conditions Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the casino property Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Exposure to loud noise, safety hazards, and extended work hours Requires manual dexterity, coordination, and mobility to perform operational duties Ability to maintain concentration and make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment Frequent verbal and written communication with guests, team members, and leadership Ability to see, distinguish colors, and hear clearly in an active casino setting Schedule - Grave Shift Overnight Due to the nature of the hospitality and gaming industry, team members must be available to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs Travel is not required for this position Why Join This Team?
