- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment throughout the plant
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and breakers
- Inspect, test, and maintain AC/DC power distribution and control systems
- Install and repair wiring, conduit, lighting, and control circuits
- Support maintenance of coal handling equipment such as conveyors, crushers, and feeders
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose and verify system performance
- Assist with outages, shutdowns, and planned maintenance activities
- Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash requirements
- Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and maintenance records
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent apprenticeship/training
- 5+ years industrial electrical experience (power plant or heavy industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, motors, and electrical distribution equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system issues
- Valid driver's license required
