About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Float Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MS-Telemetry License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of MS-Telemetry experience Prior neuro experience preferred Description: Hiring process includes an interview with the clinical team. Candidates will be expected to float throughout the designated zone. Travelers are responsible for obtaining housing within a 60-mile radius of the assigned facilities. Orientation will occur in state, even if some modules are remote. Travelers must float within the assigned zone to various facilities. Unit responsibilities include managing multiple specializations such as Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:5-6 based on acuity. Designated charge nurses do not take patient assignments unless necessary. Respiratory therapy equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP will be available. Schedules are made by leadership in advance, and flexibility is required to fill gaps in scheduling. There may be a requirement for weekend shifts, typically between 6-9 weekends in a 6-week schedule. Holidays may require participation in rotation. Calls for low census are rare. Float assignments may range into different acuities and facilities based on scheduling needs. The charting system utilized will be electronic. No home base facility is assigned. Float assignments will be communicated prior to the start date. The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
