Office Clerk/Receptionist

Woodfields Elementary School is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Office Clerk to provide clerical and administrative support in a busy school office environment. This position works closely with the School Secretary, Principal, staff, students, and families to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist the School Secretary with office operations and routines.
• Monitor the office in the absence of the Secretary and/or Principal.
• Support classroom supervision during emergency situations or special events.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information at all times.
• Participate in training and professional development as assigned.
• Adapt to changing assignments as needed to support the school.
• Perform additional duties that contribute to the success of the school.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Pay is based on ParaPro Exam, 60 hours college credit, or 120 hours college credit. Previous experience working in an office or school setting preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with the public, staff, and students in person and over the phone.

Other Skills: Ability to develop positive working relationships with staff, students, and the school community. Ability to stay organized and communicate clearly. Ability to follow district policies and Board of Education requirements.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to sit, talk, and hear regularly; occasionally walk, stand, and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to distinguish between bells, buzzers, beeps, and similar sounds. Must be able to perform duties in a typical office environment with occasional interruptions.

Work Schedule & Salary Schedule: 180 days per year, 7.5 hours per day Salary: Grade 10, 11, or 12 of the Classified Salary Schedule (depending on education)
