Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical unit. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a dynamic environment, supported by a collaborative team structure that includes certified nursing assistants and virtual nursing support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with medical, surgical, and orthopedic diagnoses.
• Collaborate with a certified nursing assistant (CNA) on a 1:6-7 patient ratio.
• Engage in a dyad model working alongside a virtual nurse, maintaining a 1:30 virtual nursing ratio.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for accurate documentation and patient management.
• Participate in a structured orientation program, including both classroom learning and hands-on shifts.
• Comply with department policies, including hygiene standards regarding artificial nails.

Shifts & Scheduling

• Shifts available: 12-hour days and nights (0630-1900, 1830-0700).
• Weekend and holiday requirements as needed.
• No on-call or standby requirements.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory for the application process.
• Applicants must comply with the radius rule: residing more than 50 miles from any affiliated facility and not being employed in any capacity within the network.

Additional Information

• Daily nursing ratios of 1:6-7, with support from RT available 24 hours a day.
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments. Non-compliance may result in termination.
• This role involves working primarily in an acute care setting with a focus on collaborative practices.
