The Software Test Engineer will an integral member in the Affera Software Team working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field. This role offers a rare chance to be at the forefront of developing a groundbreaking technology that can disrupt the industry.

The ideal candidate has experience designing developing and testing real-time high-performance visualization applications. They will help with the development of key features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams and are passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions

About the Affera Mapping and Ablation System:

The Affera Mapping and Ablation System is an innovative medical technology designed to treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the hearts electrical activity helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias. Once identified the Affera Ablation System delivers targeted energy to disrupt these abnormal signals restoring normal heart rhythm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Craft a flexible and reliable test automation framework tailored to our company and product needs.

• Investigate propose and implementnew technologiesor processes which improve the reliability and efficiency of automation.

• Maintainbroadunderstanding of current testing software technologies.

• Perform workflow analysis document testresultsand recommend quality improvements

• Applytheappropriate standards processes procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle.

• Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programmingexperience inPythonCorsimilar languages

• Knowledge of Medical Product verification IEC-62304and FDA guidance in a technical discipline preferably software related

• Foundationalunderstanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.

• Experiencedtest automation in robotics or related industry.

• Ability to manage track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.

• Understandingof good documentation practices

• Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Polarion TFS TestRailJAMAetc).

• Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

• Strong communicationskills both written and verbal.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$82400.00 - $123600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
