Overlake Medical Center has opportunities for nurses looking to transition into a new specialty of practice. Nurses with greater than one year of experience are eligible. The transition program is based on best practices and evidence-based education. Your Program Will Include A blend of online learning and instructor led courses 1:1 clinical precepting by an experienced RN Focused sessions with an Education specialist to enhance learning and clinical reasoning in your new area of practice During the program, you will work a .9 FTE (72 hours per biweekly pay period). After completing the precepted portion of the program your FTE and shift will be based on available positions, with a high probability of .9 FTE, Night shift. Commitment of one (1) year to unit, shift and FTE assigned, following precepted portion of program. Next PROGRAM START For Cardiac Stroke Telemetry/Progressive Care October 19, 2026 Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing Current WA State RN License or Multi-State RN License required prior to start. Healthcare provider BLS/CPR certifications 1+ years RN experience Excellent customer service and communication skills. Note - RNs hired into units that require a competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation will be required to take a rhythm assessment in their first week.
