Haralson Tire Pros & Auto Service is looking to hire an Auto Technician / Mechanic to join our team! JOB DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including: engine, transmission, electrical steering, alignment, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Perform vehicle inspections.
- Test-drive vehicles.
- Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
JOB REQUIRED SKILLS & CRITERIA:
- Standing/Sitting/Squatting/Kneeling/Bending for long periods of time.
- Lifting/Loading/Unloading/Carrying (Up to 50 lbs)
- Practice safe use of machines, equipment, hand tools, power tools, jacks and lifts.
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
- Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including safety glasses, and as needed, respirator, steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the Service Advisor/Shop Manager or Store Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as updated.
- Haralson Tire Pros & Auto Service promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug/alcohol testing as per applicable State Laws.
