Job Title Client Manager, Captives Division Property Risks Reports To As per Beazley’s organisation chart Job Summary As a Client Manager, your primary responsibility is to develop new business with assigned large corporations, from first contact to first transaction. Responsibilities Understand client risk landscape, risk management strategy and priorities, and how Beazley’s products, solutions and services can be deployed to help them reach their objectives. Navigate broker relationships, brokers being key business partners. Originate and develop new risk‑financing‑related business opportunities, delivering innovative tailor‑made solutions as a superior alternative to commoditized insurance products. Negotiate with clients and their brokers, act as a convincing ambassador internally to obtain senior management buy‑in, and lead cross‑functional teams for results. Personal Skills Entrepreneurial acumen – comfortable taking ownership of new business development. Excellent communicator and diplomat, able to find common ground and alignment across internal (underwriting and operations teams) and external (client, brokers) boundaries. Leadership – motivate, stimulate and align cross‑functional teams, focusing on qualitative and timely delivery. Consultative approach – excellent listener who identifies early potential opportunities and challenges. Pragmatism / Solutions‑driven – quickly conceive realistic and practical ways to convert business opportunities into successful execution. Ability to drive several transactions simultaneously, triage and prioritise. Intellectual curiosity – embrace the unknown, learn beyond insurance and risk management, including client core business, data & analytics developments and applications. Professional Experience Extensive proven experience of client relationship management or sales in large corporate commercial insurance industry (insurance, broking, consulting). At least 2–3 years in P&C underwriting, preferably as a Property Underwriter. Proficiency in capital markets instruments and corporate finance, with proven experience engaging with CFOs and Treasurers. Track record of complex insurance and innovative risk‑financing transactions, including with (re)insurance captive companies and ART solutions. Broad industry network with key partners, including corporate risk managers, c‑suite leaders, brokers, and insurance professionals. Experience leading cross‑functional teams and aligning multiple parties’ interests while keeping the client at the centre.
