Senior Procurement Contract Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Procurement Contract Specialist for a remote role. Overview: We are seeking a Senior Procurement Contract Specialist to support high-impact procurement initiatives with a focus on contract strategy, vendor negotiations, and M&A readiness. This role partners closely with Procurement leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate existing agreements, identify risk, and optimize contract structures in support of future acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational restructuring. This is a strategic role-not responsible for transactional procurement activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, or invoicing. Key Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and negotiate complex indirect vendor contracts (e.g., IT, SaaS, professional services)
• Assess contract terms, vendor obligations, and financial and compliance risks
• Evaluate contract utilization across business units and identify optimization opportunities
• Develop recommendations for contract alignment, separation, and consolidation to support M&A and restructuring initiatives
• Partner with IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to align procurement strategy with business goals
• Lead vendor negotiations to improve commercial terms, flexibility, and risk positioning
• Prepare and present executive-level analyses, insights, and recommendations
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
• 7-10+ years of procurement experience with a strong focus on indirect categories
• Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations and vendor management
• Exposure to M&A, divestitures, or organizational restructuring initiatives strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, including risk assessment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to communicate and influence at the senior leadership level

• Experience operating in complex, multi-business unit organizations

• Initial 6-month contract with potential extension
