Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis, Home Training

As a Home Training Dialysis Nurse, you will be at the forefront of empowering patients to transition from center-based care to independent, home-based therapies, enhancing autonomy, confidence, and long-term outcomes. In this highly impactful position, you will blend clinical skill with patient education, guiding individuals and their families through Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD). The Role: This is a dynamic, patient-centered role that combines clinical care, education, and relationship-building. You will serve as both a clinician and coach, helping patients successfully adopt and manage dialysis therapies in their daily lives. On a typical day, you will: * Conduct in-home assessments to ensure a safe and supportive dialysis environment * Deliver comprehensive education and hands-on training to patients and caregivers on PD and HHD therapies * Build strong, trust-based relationships that encourage confidence and independence in home care management * Monitor patient progress through ongoing clinical assessments , adjusting care plans as needed * Manage medications, dialysis supplies, and treatment protocols to ensure continuity of care * Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes * Provide continuous support and troubleshooting , helping patients navigate challenges with confidence This role offers a unique pace and complexity, balancing autonomy in the field with close coordination across a specialized care team. Minimum Qualifications - * Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required . Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. * Experience: 1 year of relevant experience. * Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required . Physical Demands - Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative , auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Compensation - New hire compensation will be determined by previous work experience, education , and /or experience. Starting Pay - $39.90/hour Onboarding Requirements - Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $39.90 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
