Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Location: Fullerton, CA Start Date: ASAP Duration: Approximately 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,480 - $2,610 Weekend Coverage: Required; flexibility to work every other weekend or as needed by the unit Floating: May float to Mother Baby Charting System: Meditech Parking: Free parking available Job Requirements At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required; strong experience preferred Current Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission Experience with obstetrical triage required Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision ACLS certification required BLS certification required NRP certification required AWHONN Advanced certification required Epic or equivalent charting experience preferred Willingness to work weekends and major holidays as scheduled Open to floating to like units as needed Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and obstetric patients Perform triage assessments and sterile vaginal exams with accuracy and confidence Support patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and high-risk obstetric situations Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and related obstetric procedures Administer medications and interventions such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and IV therapies as ordered Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care team members to promote safe patient outcomes Educate and reassure patients and families throughout the birthing process Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
