Process Engineer

Location: Mansfield, OHCleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer at its Mansfield, Ohio facility. This role is responsible for the providing engineering expertise in the planning and execution of technical projects within the Hot Strip. The Process Engineer manages project and works closely with the department in the development and planning of capital projects.Summary of ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the department to solve technical problemsEngineers' major facilities and component parts and investigate field project assignments in developing a cost-effective solution to productionDevelops, analyzes, prepares and executes technical projectsEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality standards and costCollaborate with Quality for root cause analysis of quality issuesOther duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.2–5 years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.Strong communication, computer and problem solving skills.Ability to work safely in industrial environments while wearing required PPE.Preferred QualificationsExperience in steelmaking or metals manufacturing.Experience in a union environment.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry.
