ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an onsite role located in Carlsbad, CA .

As Zerigo Health’s on-site Hardware Quality Control Inspector, you’ll be our dedicated quality presence at our contract manufacturer’s facility in Carlsbad and Zerigo’s independent, trained eye that confirms every device meets spec before it ships.

Reporting into Zerigo Health’s Quality Team, you’ll work hands-on with incoming components, in-process builds, and finished goods: inspecting, verifying calibration, and signing off on release.

CORE DELIVERABLES

Receiving & Outgoing Inspection

Assist contract manufacturer (CM) incoming quality assurance when issues are encountered. Review and approve finished goods, ensuring they meet requirements, prior to signing the Device History Record and release for shipment.

Calibration & Fixture Qualification

Support CM by reviewing and approving installation qualification/operational qualification/performance qualification of calibration fixtures and ensure that calibration records and scheduling for existing equipment are properly maintained.

Escalation

Document and escalate nonconforming findings to the Director, Quality & Regulatory per Zerigo’s disposition process.

Hardware Acceptance & Inspection Criteria

Confirm that hardware acceptance and inspection criteria are clearly defined and traceable to the device specification.

Return Tracking

Ensure any devices returned are properly dispositioned and tracked through the analysis phase.

Supplier Approval/Reapproval Processes

Support these processes and participate in onsite supplier audits as needed.

Supplier Quality Oversight

Monitor ongoing supplier and CM quality performance against established metrics, in addition to audit participation, flagging adverse trends to the Director, Quality & Regulatory.

Test Data Review

Review receiving, in-process, and outgoing test data to support disposition decisions and confirm results meet acceptance criteria.

Monthly Quality Meetings

Participation in monthly quality meetings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent plus vocational/technical training in inspection, metrology, or quality control; an Associate’s degree in a related technical field is a plus.

• 3+ years of hands-on inspection or metrology experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. 
\n
• Relevant certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician) preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate both with external and internal stakeholders to meet company targets and KPIs; effective communication, problem-solving skills and strong attention to details.
\n
• Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment.
\n
• Ability to work on-site in greater San Diego, CA (Carlsbad) daily.

• Comfort working independently at a third-party facility with a clear escalation path to Zerigo Quality.
\n
• Currently registered as a California Board of Pharmacy Exemptee (Business & Professions Code §4053), or able to demonstrate the eligibility and competency to obtain this registration within 6 months of hire.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The expected base salary range for this role is $50,000- $56,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Zerigo Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); paid time off; and more.
