ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract Position

Schedule

This position requires 3 × 12-hour shifts, working from 07:00 to 19:30, totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in various intensive care settings, including floating to step-down units and emergency departments as needed. The RN will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the guidance of licensed physicians, utilizing established nursing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the condition of assigned patients in the ICU.
• Implement and evaluate care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Provide nursing support, guiding staff in delivering patient care.
• Float to other nursing units as necessary, maintaining patient care standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting (no new grads).
• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required).
• Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification (preferred).
