The Digital Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in expanding the visibility, engagement, and reach of the Aerospace Center for Excellence and SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo across all digital platforms. This role supports the marketing department by executing day-to-day digital initiatives, managing social media accounts, maintaining website content, and assisting in the creation of dynamic and brand-aligned digital communications. This position will contribute to strengthening public awareness, shaping online reputation, and ensuring consistent, mission-aligned messaging that reflects the organization’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Content & Brand Management

·       Maintain consistency of the organization's brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all digital platforms.

·       Help grow and protect the organization's online reputation while increasing brand awareness, audience engagement, and community trust.

·       Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies that support organizational priorities, fundraising, education, events, and membership initiatives.

·       Ensure all digital communications reflect the organization's mission, values, and brand standards.

Social Media & Online Community Management

·       Manage the organization's day-to-day presence across multiple different accounts on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, TikTok, and emerging channels.

·       Schedule and publish approved content according to the organization's editorial calendar.

·       Serve as the organization's primary online community manager by monitoring comments, direct messages, reviews, tags, and mentions across digital platforms.

·       Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused responses to inquiries while escalating sensitive, technical, or customer service issues to the appropriate department.

·       Moderate conversations to foster a positive online environment, addressing inappropriate or inaccurate content in accordance with organizational policies.

·       Build relationships with followers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and influencers to increase engagement, strengthen community relationships, and expand digital reach.

·       Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and audience behavior to recommend strategies that improve engagement, audience growth, and platform performance.

 

Content Creation & Campaign Support

·       Develop engaging written and visual content that supports organizational marketing objectives across social media, the website, email marketing, fundraising, and digital advertising.

·       Identify compelling mission-driven stories and content opportunities by collaborating with departments throughout the organization.

·       Assist in planning and executing integrated digital marketing campaigns that promote events, educational programs, fundraising initiatives, memberships, sponsorships, and organizational priorities.

·       Coordinate with the Graphic Designer to develop graphics, infographics, short-form videos, photography, and other multimedia assets.

·       Create and distribute e-newsletters, promotional emails, fundraising appeals, and other digital communications.

·       Maintain and update website content, including landing pages, event information, blog articles, and news updates.

·       Ensure all digital content follows brand standards and incorporates best practices for accessibility, user experience, SEO, and mobile optimization.

Digital Analytics & Reporting

·       Track key performance indicators across digital platforms, using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and email campaign software.

·       Compile and present campaign performance reports with insights and recommendations.

·       Evaluate success of social, email, and web efforts; recommend adjustments to improve reach, engagement, and conversions.

Customer Service & Cross-Department Support

·       Represent the organization professionally across all digital channels, providing exceptional customer service through timely, courteous, and accurate online communication.

·       Coordinate with internal departments to ensure inquiries received through social media and digital platforms are routed appropriately and resolved promptly.

·       Support crisis communication efforts by monitoring digital conversations and alerting leadership to emerging issues or reputation concerns.


Required Skills and Abilities

·       Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

·       Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

·       Proactive, creative thinker with a strong understanding of current digital marketing trends.

·       Strong proficiency in social media management platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).

·       Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark, or Photoshop) are a plus.


Education and Experience

·       Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·       Minimum of three (3) years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation.

·       Experience managing social campaigns for an organization or brand across multiple platforms.

·       Aviation or nonprofit background is preferred but not required.
