  • Position Overview: The Assembler I assembles valves or valve sub-assemblies, partially or completely.
Key Responsibilities:
  • In all actions support Aquestia’s quality policies, safety policies and core company values of Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity.
  • Reads job order to gain a thorough understanding of the current assignment and to identify any non-standard requirements. Positions parts accordingly.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or another fastener. 
  • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files or power sanders to produce close fit between parts. 
  • Operates drills, air powered tools and hoists to assist in the assembly process. 
  • Assures department SOP quality requirements are followed for every order. Maintains quality specifications throughout production runs. 
  • Maintains accurate production records within the ERP reporting system. 
  • Functions in accordance with ISO9001 procedures. 
  • Follows established Lean Manufacturing and 6-S procedures. 
  • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close supervision of senior personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). 
  • One year minimum related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and kneel. 

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 40–50 lbs. 

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to manage tools, components, and small parts with manual dexterity.

  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical activity typical of a production floor.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods without assistance.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, or respirators when necessary.

  • Ability to visually inspect materials or products and read displays, labels, or gauges.
