Aquatics Lifeguard

Description We are looking to expand our team by adding energetic and dedicated Lifeguards. If you are enthusiastic about water safety, enjoy working in a vibrant environment, and like meeting new people this is the perfect position for you. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong commitment to working as part of a team. Responsibilities Ensure Safety: Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and participants to prevent accidents and injuries, always prioritizing patron safety. Enforce Pool Rules: Observe and enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by responding to member inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with any needs that arise during pool use. Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, restrooms, and surrounding areas. Ensure the filtration system is functioning properly, and that pool chemistry is up to standard. Emergency Response: Respond quickly to all emergency situations, utilizing Red Cross Lifeguard training to administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inspect pool equipment to ensure it is safe, clean, and operational. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and staff members to ensure efficient pool operations and a positive member experience. Facility Opening/Closing: Perform opening and closing duties for the facility, including necessary cleaning and preparation for operation. Other Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by the Pool Manager or Assistant Pool Manager. Requirements Lifeguard Certification: Current Lifeguard and First Aid/AED certification required. (Please upload your current Lifeguard Certification.) Customer Service Skills: Proven history of excellent customer service and effective communication. Physical Requirements: Ability to stay alert for extended periods, swim, and perform lifesaving techniques when necessary. Work Environment: Ability to work in outdoor conditions with exposure to various weather elements. Punctuality and Responsibility: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to multitask in a challenging environment. Availability to work Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day will be required. Pool Operator Certificate (Preferred): Having a Pool Operator Certificate is a plus.
