Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations in inpatient or outpatient settings and craft individualized treatment strategies for patients
• Implement physical therapy interventions that promote mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional recovery
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and other rehab specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Assist patients and their families in understanding therapeutic goals, discharge processes, and appropriate home exercises
• Keep precise records of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure seamless patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited educational institution

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Additional specialized certifications such as neurological or geriatric therapy are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior relevant experience is highly preferred
