Instrument TechnicianLocation: McIntosh, AL Salary: $45.49/hourRelocation Assistance ProvidedFocus: Instrument Technicians troubleshoot equipment instrumentation, control systems (DCS/PLC/MLC) and ladder logic. Instrument Technicians receive very little descriptive information concerning the production problem and learn to calibrate, install and maintain a variety of instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure, pH, conductivity and flow. They will install & maintain pneumatic systems; monitor specific equipment; and may monitor and replace control valves. Instrument Technicians participate in safety meetings and training activities and follow established safety and operating procedures and practices.Instrument Tech Essential Job Functions:Troubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions, and documents failure analysis of Instrument equipmentSets up and calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variablesActively participates in the implementation of the Maintenance Work Process for I&E workAssists PPM Coordinator and ME role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts neededUpdates and follows daily maintenance scheduleMaintains accurate records including calibrations, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDsSupports Root Cause Failure Analysis for I&E componentsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentJourneylevel Instrumentation Technician with minimum 5 years of instrumentation work experience (industrial setting preferred)Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quicklyMust be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is neededAble to pass a functional physical testing and able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights.Able to work in tight or closed-in spacesPass a physical, drug screen and background check if job offer is received and accepted.Must possess a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)An All-In Investment in Your Future As a global leader in both chemical manufacturing and ammunition, Olin empowers over 8,000 individuals to make an impact both at work and in our surrounding communities.
