Position Overview AHRC NYC is seeking a Residential Assistant Manager for its Queens IRA and ICF residences. The role collaborates with the Residence Manager and other management team members to oversee all aspects of operation for the assigned community residential program. Responsibilities Assist with ensuring ongoing compliance and quality assurance with state and federal regulations applicable to the operation of the facility. Provide direct supervision and guidance to direct support employees assigned to the residence. Confere with the Residence Manager to complete mandated written evaluations of staff and participate in overseeing disciplinary actions as needed. Provide service coverage in accordance with the staff schedule established by the Residence Manager, and cover for scheduling changes due to staff shortages or emerging resident needs. Assume responsibility for smooth operations of the residence, including adherence to funder and agency policies related to house/vehicle maintenance, fire safety, and resident and personnel files. Collaborate with the Residence Manager to plan each resident’s individualized program of services and care, covering both daily and longer‑term needs, and ensure delivery of services that address each resident’s interests, preferences, strengths, and capabilities. When assigned to oversee medical services, collaborate with residence clinical staff to monitor direct care activities related to medical services, maintain electronic and paper medical records, schedule and attend medical appointments, properly administer medications, and request referrals as needed. Ensure each resident’s basic needs are met, including adequate supply of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and other personal belongings necessary to meet individual needs within the home environment. Serve as liaison with the Treatment Coordinator, reviewing the quality of active treatment services and expected residential habilitation outcomes, attending team meetings, and evaluating the accuracy of activity schedules and documentation. Schedule & Benefits Weekly schedule: one weekend day each week is required, with two consecutive days off each week (either Fri/Sat or Sun/Mon). The rest of the weekly schedule combines day and evening shifts, with no overnight shifts. Compensation Base salary: $43,000‑$48,000 per year plus overtime when warranted. A $750 bonus becomes part of the base salary upon completion of AHRC NYC’s Defensive Driving class (if driving is required).
