Dietary Manager

We are inviting you to apply for a Dietary Manager position.Job Summary:The Dietary Manager shall be responsible for managing all kitchen personnel and working in cooperation with the Administrator, nursing staff and Dietitian to ensure that residents receive nourishing meals.Supervisory Responsibilities:Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of departmentConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructiveHandles discipline and termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policyAssumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Dietary departmentDetermines departmental staffing requirements needed to meet the department’s needsDuties/Responsibilities:Plans, develops, and implements food service for residents within the budget and according to current nutritional principles to maintain and improve the nutritional status of each residentDelegates duties and responsibilities/assignments to competent individualsMeets with Dietitian and/or Director of Nursing to review therapeutic dietsAssists with food preparation and operating food production equipment as required to complete tasksPrepares and maintains inventory list of foods and other dietary supplies for needed food/supply ordering purposesMonitors and controls expenses within budgetFollows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food servicesCompletes new resident interviews, documents nutritional status information as needed, and attends care conferencesPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of food preparation standards and practices as well as basic nutritionExcellent managerial and supervisory skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEducation and Experience:Must meet a minimum of one of the following requirements:Is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist;Hold and maintains, or has the ability to acquire a CDM certificationHolds an Associates Degree as a Dietetic Technician from a program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and DieteticsMust have or able to obtain Serv Safe certificationHolds an Associates Degree in Food Service Management or Hospitality (involves food service/restaurant management) from accredited institutionApply Now and Join Our Team If YouAre passionate about the work you doWant to be part of a collaborative teamEnjoy caring for and making a difference in other people’s livesHave a desire to work for a company who is dedicated to providing quality servicesWe are an equal employment opportunity employer!Email View email address on click.appcast.io or call View phone number on click.appcast.io with questions#RHRCWest #J-18808-Ljbffr
