Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant

Job Description Metro Eye Care is a comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry practice with locations in Paramus and Franklin Lakes, NJ. We are looking for dedicated individuals with a passion to learn and grow with us. You will work closely with patients and our team of physicians in all aspects of ophthalmic care. Position responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Patient work-ups, including visual acuity, instilling eye drops, taking patient medical history and chief complaint, etc. Performing diagnostic testing, including refractions, visual field, fundus photography, OCT, AR, NCT, iCare, dry eye testing, etc. Scribing for doctors Additional administrative work Prior experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting and familiarity with EHR system is strongly recommended, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Applicants MUST be flexible in their weekly work schedule, be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic and be willing to work as part of a team. Saturday hours about 1-2 times per month is required. Ability to work in either Paramus or Franklin Lakes offices is a must.
