Highlands Medical Center is a non-profit arm of Jackson County Health Care Authority (JCHCA). They are the only hospital in Jackson County serving approximately 54,000 residents.

• Trauma Designation: Level III
• 170 licensed beds
• 92 staffed beds; including 10 specialty care

Specialties represented:

• Imaging
• Surgery
• OB-GYN
• Therapy
• Sleep Lab

• Daily Encounters: 22

• ICU Beds: 10
• Staffing Model:
  • Physician and APP team
  • 12-hour Physician day-shift, Telemedicine for night coverage

• Strong hospital leadership and collaborative Integrated Acute Care team (Emergency and Hospital Medicine service lines also managed by USACS)
